The Yale Club of London Speaker Series is very pleased to announce its line-up of speakers for the Spring/Summer 2014 season. 

On April 17th Karl Essig (’80 SOM), founder and former co-head of Morgan Stanley’s Securitised Products Group, will be speaking on the long-term societal implications of the global financial crisis. On May 8th Dr Gordon Turnbull, General Editor of the Yale Editions of the Private paper of James Boswell, one of Yale’s greatest editorial undertakings, will be joining us on his way to an international conference and will be speaking Boswell, Samuel Johnson, and the virtues and vices of literary scholarship. Then on May 21st, Thomas Pogge, Professor of Philosophy and International Affairs at Yale, will be speaking on ways of changing the rulebook of big pharma to create a system of greater justice and efficiency in global health, in particular the Health Impact Fund. All three talks will take place at the Mellon Centre in Bedford Square.

Junior members will be offered the series for £12 (rather than £15); all other members for £27 (rather than £30). (Normal prices for each event are £5 for junior members and £10 for all other members.)
