About the Event:
Join fellow alumni and the 2014 British Bulldogs summer interns for a circular walk from the Thames valley up onto the sweeping chalk hills above. Meet near the departure board near the main ticket hall of Paddington Station (meeting point shown here) at 9:20 to catch the 9:45 Swansea train, changing at Reading for the 10:23 to Goring and Streatley.

The walk crosses the Thames and heads up though woods and download to Ashampstead, turning north to take us to lunch at the very traditional and simple Bell Pub, with its big garden and atmospheric interior. Continuing after lunch along the ancient Ridgeway path, we return to Streatley, where we have the option to enjoy afternoon tea at the Swan on the riverside. The 17:42 train takes us back to Paddington by 18:40.

The walk is neither strenuous nor muddy and offers wonderful views across one of the most rural areas of the South East. Come out and enjoy summertime England at its best!
