About the event:

The YCL Christmas Dinner is the standout event in the Club's annual diary -- not to be missed! This year we will again meet at the Polish Hearth Club (55 Exhibition Road, Knightsbridge, SW7 2PN) to celebrate the season and enjoy conversation with Yale friends old and new. We hope to repeat yet another successful dinner at the Polish Hearth Club and trust you will join us at this excellent venue on the 1st to properly usher in the holiday season.

For our dinner this year, the Ognisko Restaurant will again provide the food for our gathering, which will be sharing plates that provide a wide range of choice for different tastes, in addition to the normal festive bits and pieces.

About the speaker, Clarissa Ward, JE '02:

In September, Clarissa joined CNN as its London-based senior international correspondent, reporting for all of CNN's platforms. Prior to joining CNN, Clarissa was a foreign news correspondent at CBS News for four years, as well as working for three years as a ABC News correspondent based in Moscow. During her career, she has covered multiple international events, most recently from Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Afghanistan. Her reporting of Syria's civil war earned her Peabody, DuPont and Edward R. Murrow awards. She has also won two Emmy Awards in the News and Documentary category.

Bookings:

The price mentioned includes the cost of dinner, wine, and other goodies with the meal. The pre-dinner drinks are not included in this price, but there is a cash bar that will be available to all on the first floor where dinner is served.

Registration for this event will close at 12 noon on Monday, 30th November.

Cancellation Policy: No refunds if a meal registration is cancelled after 17.00 on 30th November.
